David Kang (neuroscience concentrator, Walsh Lab, Boston Children’s Hospital) has been selected as the recipient of this year’s John E. Dowling Thesis Prize.

Olivier Pourquié, professor of genetics in the Blavatnik Institute at HMS and the Frank Burr Mallory Professor of Pathology at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, along with Eric Lander, HMS professor of systems biology at the Whitehead Institute for Biomedical Research, was elected to the Pontifical Academy of Sciences.

Paola Arlotta, Golub Family Professor of Stem Cell and Regenerative Biology, and Jeffrey Holt, HMS professor of otolaryngology head and neck surgery at Boston Children’s Hospital, were elected to the National Academy Of Sciences.
