Postmortem human brain investigations play a key role in efforts to learn more about the human brain, study brain disorders and improve therapeutic strategies. We will explore the many facets of this approach, from how human postmortem brains are collected and made available to researchers to the types of studies that can be carried out and some of the most recent findings.
