Music Therapy and the Stress Response: From Neurobiology and Biomarkers to Clinical Impact

The goal of Boston Music & the Brain Dialogues is to promote interdisciplinary conversations between neuroscience researchers, clinicians, musicians, music therapists, and music researchers interested in advancing research and educational opportunities at the intersection of the brain and music, in the context of an interdisciplinary meeting of their fields.

Opening with a musical performance by Ezekiel Freeman-Fanfan of Berklee.
A sonic experience, merging the roots of the blues, rhythms of the diaspora and electronics.

Ezekiel, also known as Yahezkul, is an inspiring music therapist and artist from Boston whose mission is to make therapy more accessible, relatable, and engaging through the arts. Through his artistry and programming, he creates spaces for community, connection, and healing. He leads the band Soundz of Now and his community arts and healing program, Pale.

This event is presented in partnership with Berklee Music and Health Institute, Countway Library, and the Arts and Humanities Initiative at Harvard Medical School.
