Branching Points: from Academic Neuroscience to Health Strategy Consulting

During her graduate program in neuroscience, Liza launched an exploration into nonacademic career paths and shared everything she was learning on her website, branchingpoints.com. She left science for consulting and has spent the last decade advising life science companies, healthcare organizations, and high net worth individuals like Bill Gates on their giving, investing, and programs in health and life sciences. In this talk, Liza will share advice on finding a nonacademic career path that feels right to you, what it’s like to be a strategy consultant, and the pros and cons of working for yourself.

There will be a 30 minute virtual lunch with Liza immediately following her talk. This lunch is open to Harvard-affiliated postdocs, graduate students, and undergraduates. Please indicate on the sign-up form if you wish to attend. This session is limited to 14 attendees and registration will be honored on a first come-first served basis.
