From the inception of a single-cell zygote to the intricate development of a multifaceted organism, the profound question of cellular differentiation has driven my scientific pursuit. Transitioning from an undergraduate degree in Engineering specializing in Genetics to a Ph.D. in Genome Regulation, I have dedicated my academic endeavors to unraveling the intricate mechanisms governing mammalian embryonic development from pre-implantation to gastrulation and early organogenesis stages. Building upon this foundation, my postdoctoral research delves deeper into the complexities of human brain development, with a specific focus on the cerebral cortex. I employ organoid models to decipher epigenetic regulation underlying fate plasticity in the human cerebral cortex.
