I am interested in deciphering the functional mechanisms underlying flexible behavior in the brain. How do animals adapt their behaviour in response to changes in external cues, social cues and internal states? How are these adaptations represented on the neural circuit level. I work with Drosophila larvae, and we make use of a rich genetic toolkit, a whole brain connectome and non-invasive functional imaging.

After finishing my postdoc in the Samuel lab in 2020, I started my own lab at the University of Konstanz.
