Walid Yassin
(He/Him)
Staff Scientist / Department of Psychiatry

I am a Research Scientist at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Research Associate at McLean Hospital, and an Instructor at Harvard Medical School. My research focuses on several neuropsychiatric and neurodevelopmental disorders.

I use different approaches, such as imaging, behavioral assessment, artificial intelligence, to better understand the brain and the deviation from what is considered “typical”. My ultimate goal is to be able to assess risk factors, discover objective biomarkers, elucidate disorder spectrum and symptom overlap, and provide biomarker-based targeted therapeutic interventions in various disorders of the mind.
