Alyssa Larios
Graduate Student / Lab of Chenghua Gu, Department of Neurobiology
After growing up in sunny Southern California and moving to Chicago for my undergraduate studies, I began conducting research in a neuroscience lab at Northwestern. The lab specialized in optical recordings of single neurons during learning in rodents. Now, my research in the Gu lab at Harvard Medical School focuses on blood flow in the brain and how neurons are fed by nutrients in the blood stream to support their metabolically expensive signaling properties.
