I am an MD-PhD candidate at Harvard Medical School. I completed her PhD in the laboratory of Zhigang He at Boston Children’s Hospital in June 2023, where I built a comprehensive anatomic and transcriptomic taxonomy of adult mouse spinal projecting neurons (SPNs). My efforts in characterizing SPNs, a major population of neurons affected by insults such as spinal cord injury and amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, are motivated by my longstanding interest in neural injury and recovery. Before starting my MD-PhD at Harvard, I completed an MSc in Regenerative Medicine at the University of Galway under a George J. Mitchell Scholarship, and a BSE in Bioengineering at the University of Pennsylvania. After completing my MD-PhD training, I aims to work as a physician-scientist toward developing better strategies for neural recovery following injury or disease.
