Ivan Coto Hernandez
Instructor in Radiology / Institute for Innovation in Imaging/ Radiology department/ Mass. General Hospital

I am Instructor in Radiology at Harvard Medical School, Massachusetts General Hospital. I studied Nuclear Physics in Cuba and received my Master Degree in 2011. My research interest is focused on the development of imaging tools for neuroscience research. During my Ph.D., I was trained in optical methods to enhance the performance of conventional fluorescence microscopes under the mentorship of Dr. Giuseppe Vicidomini and Dr. Alberto Diaspro, renowned experts in development of super-resolution microscopy. Later, I completed a postdoctoral training on Paris-Sud University and Mass Eye and Ear. Currently, I work at Massachusetts General Hospital applying my imaging skillset to aid discovery relevant to human health. Over the next several years, I seek to make a meaningful impact in the field of neuroimaging by applying my expertise in emerging imaging techniques to advance scientific knowledge in the field.
