Postdoctoral Research Fellow / Neurobiology

I completed my PhD in Neuroscience under the guidance of Dr. Kari Hoffman at Vanderbilt University, where I focused on collecting wirelessly recorded neural activity from freely-behaving macaques. My research concentrated on the hippocampus and extrahippocampal areas, investigating the neural circuits that support memory formation in primates. Specifically, I explored how the structure and dynamics of memory traces are reorganized to support new learning while maintaining established memories.

For my postdoctoral research, I will extend my exploration into the circuit dynamics of the hippocampus and the synaptic plasticity rules within its various subfields, which are crucial for learning and memory.
